How can I swich my 21mth old from our bed to a toddler bed?
He has slept in my bed for most of his life but he has never slept through the night except when we could actually get him to sleep in his crib, I am so worn out! I think i’m going to try a toddler bed bc it is more like ours! What should I do? And please I dont want any smart allic remarks, so if you dont have anything nice to say plz dont say anything at all!
well get a toddler bed and little by little let him play on it in the day time to get him use to it then every nap time (if he still has them) put him in the toddler bed take down the crib. my daughter is 2 1/2 years old and i put her in when she was just 1 1/2 years old. and this is what we did and she was sleeping in it all by her self in like 3 days. but it does take time so be prepared for long nights and maybe put a gate in his door way (not sure what your house looks like.) it keeps em in if they get up at night. and oh if u have not already maybe put a night light in his room so he can see if he gets up. good luck

Well my son he’s 16 months and I already turned his crib into a toddler bed. For the most part he sleeps in his bed and sometimes in the middle of the night he’ll just crawl into my bed because his bed is right next to mines. What I do is make his bed comfortable, I had always made sure to make his crib comfortable and now his bed. Hope this helps ! Since your son is use to sleeping with you it’ll be more difficult.

U CAN TRY BY PUTTING THE TODDLER BED IN YOUR ROOM FIRST 2 GET HIM USED 2 SLEEPING IN THE BED THEN MOVE IT 2 HIS ROOM..THATS WHAT I DID WITH MY DAUGHTER…& SHES BEEN SLEEPING I HER TODDLER BED SINCE THEN WITH NO PROBLEM.
