Taylor Baby Demo (Acoustic Travel Guitar)
This is a little medley on my new Taylor Baby. This is the more unusual maple back/side version, it has a sitka spruce top and sounds fantastic! Especially amazing given it's tiny size! Bought for the summer, camping etc. Please excuse the poor playing though! …

The fret spacing is …
The fret spacing is closer, but the width of the neck is pretty much the same as a normal acoustic. I think you’re going to encounter this problem on any 3/4 guitar just because of the way the scales work.
Might be worth looking at the Taylor “Big baby”. This is a 15/16ths (I think) guitar, so the spacing will be better for you but it does still feel like a smaller guitar than a normal acoustic. Cheers.

I own a couple of other Taylors and was looking at getting this one to carry around, but am concerned about fret size. I have large fingers and most of the 3/4 guitars I find have smaller distances/scale between frets. Can you tell me if this one is the same as a standard size accoustic?

Oh, by the way, I have two mahogany Baby Taylors (long story, but in a nutshell I wouldn’t let her keep the one I’d bought for her before we split up!) and they are remarkable.
And I’m horrified at the wayward apostrophe that infiltrated my previous comment.

Rob, you have a great sense of timing and know when to leave s-p-a-c-e! (A rare gift amongst the guitar players of YouTube and it’s myriad shredders with as much soul and feeling as a pebble.)

Definately worth getting one, even if you’re not intending to use it as a travel guitar! It’s small so really comfortable to play if relaxing, in the garden etc.
Thanks.
