Precautions and preparations for infant travel to US from India?
Hi,
My baby is 2 months old and she is in India. I will be traveling to US soon. I really don’t know what precautions and preparations I would require. Please share your experiences and knowledge in this; I mean in related to baby’s health, Air line rules (I am traveling Through Delta) and any legal formalities (I have her valid Visa and passport).
Please suggest.
thanks in advance!
u should carry all medicines and prescriptions. also get the names and numbers of paedetrician that are close by
carry pacifiers or something that the baby can suck on in the airplane as the airpressure affects them
carry milk powder/water (if the baby is on the bottle) on the flight – stewardess will warm it and give it to you
carry ur stroller to the gate and make sure you get it at the other gate itself and not on the hold – if u r making a stop over, make sure you get the stroller at the gate of the transit place
carry plenty of clothes and diapers in hand baggage – poop happens at the times u least expect
u can also carry a baby seat on plane – but u would need to hvae to book an adiditional seat
if no seat, then while making ur reservation, ask for a bassinet seat where u can keep the baby. for that most airlines will issue those on first come first served basis, so get to the airport early to check in
u should be fine
