When do they start sleeping in a toddler bed?

How old is a child when they usually start sleeping in a toddler bed?

Usually around 2 ish. It depends on the kid, you gotta make sure your child will stay in bed and understand the concept. My son was just over 2 when we moved him and it was great. My daughter is now almost 2 but I dont think I'll be moving her into a toddler bed till the spring.. she's not ready yet to be on a big bed-I can see her getting up and getting us at 5 am!! Many mornings that's the time she gets up sometimes she "sleeps in" till 6.20 Now in her crib at least I can leave her there for a while.. ;)

both my girls started sleeping in a tots bed when they started crawling out of their cribs. I didn't want them to get hurt. My oldest was 1 year and my youngest was 10 months (we called her monkey) The only bad thing about a tots bed is now they can come into your room at all hours of the night.

It depends on the child individually. My 1st child started sleeping in a toddler bed at age 2. But my 2nd started in a toddler bed at 15 months. He started crawling out of the crib by himself. Instead of worrying about him trying to climb out and fall and possibly hurt himself we went ahead and put him in a bed.

My son changed to a toddler bed when he was around 13 months, really you should change them when you notice they are either uncomfortable in the crib, or starting to crawl out of the crib when the wake up from sleeping.

My son has been in one since he was 14 months old and he's not gotten out once during the night. He'll be 2 in March and we'll probably be getting him his "big boy bed" for his birthday.

My 2yo is still sleeping in his crib because we bought a crib tent and he can't climb out. It is much safer because he doesn't have access to anything that can hurt him. I would say keep them contained as long as possible.
